Trilby Station and Gundabooka National Park

This page hosts two subjects: Gundabooka National Park and Trilby Station.
Gundabooka National Park's main feature is Mount Gunderbooka and the range which carries the name of its mountain. If you're going into the direction of Louth (to Trilby Station for instance) and you don't want to take the road from Bourke to Louth on the side of the Darling (not bad either of course), then this is a nice way to go. Take the Kidman Way out of Bourke to Cobar, and then after some 40 kms the turnoff to the Gundabooka National Park will show up. The Park is good for a bit of walking, and maybe some camping as well.
The next stop could then be Trilby Station. In Louth, go over the bridge, and then take the road to Wilcannia, in SW-erly direction. The scenery around Trilby Station is stunning: Outback, clear blue skies, the beautiful Darling River, remains of a bygone past... And apart from this all, the station itself is still a working cattle and sheep station! The owners of the station provide various types of accomodation. Have a look at the Trilby Station website for more information.
